Dr Michael Grant
Senior Drug Development Clinician
Michael is a physician-scientist who specialises in the clinical development of novel immuno-oncology treatments for solid tumors. He has experience in translational medicine and conducting clinical trials from FIH to Ph3 on a range of international trials in solid and haematological cancers, including compounds that have gained Breakthrough Therapy and Innovative Licensing and Access Pathway designations. Michael has been an investigator on >50 commercial and investigator-led oncology trials and a sub-investigator on trials for Merck, Astellas, Genentech, AstraZeneca, Bristol-Myers Squibb, and Roche. He has held the role of medical monitor for several pivotal commercial studies.
He has experience across a range of anti-cancer agents, including cellular therapies, checkpoint inhibitors, antibody-drug conjugates, and cancer vaccines. He has studied or worked with a number of high profile oncology research groups, including Professor Thomas Powles at the Barts Cancer Institute, Pinato Group at Imperial College London, Bex Group, Department of Biotechnology & Gilroy Group, Department of Metabolism and Experimental Therapeutics, UCL, and the Mavria Group, Leeds Institute of Cancer and Pathology.
