Emma Tinsley
Co-founder & CEO
Emma Tinsley is Co-founder and CEO of Weatherden. She has spent her career focused on a single question: why do the majority of clinical trials fail, and how much can this be improved?
Her work centers on redefining how risk and uncertainty are understood in drug development, using data-driven, repeatable approaches to separate, quantify, and actively manage both - enabling better decisions at every stage of development. She works closely with biotech and investors to design and execute strategies that increase the probability of success and deliver strong, risk-adjusted returns.
Emma has particular experience in asset strategy, indication selection, and structuring development pathways to unlock value efficiently with a focus on identifying the highest-value opportunities early. Her approach is grounded in the belief that outcomes in drug development are driven primarily by the quality of decisions, not the amount of capital deployed.
Prior to founding Weatherden, she worked in venture creation and life sciences investing at SV Health Investors, where she helped build multiple biotech companies from inception.
