Andrea Sotak is a life sciences strategic advisor, investor, and corporate development leader with 25+ years’ experience evaluating the potential of assets across therapeutic areas, modalities, and development stages. At Weatherden Andrea and the strategy team work alongside our clinical development experts to advise seed to mid-size biotechs, and investors on strategy, diligence, and asset development opportunities. As a member of Weatherden’s leadership team, Andrea also works on corporate initiatives to grow and scale the company. 

Prior to joining Weatherden, Andrea served in various roles at DRI Capital, ultimately becoming President and Chief Investment Officer. Building the firm’s capabilities, Andrea led the Investment Team, established and oversaw the Investor Relations and Operations functions, and co-led all fundraising and financial activities, tripling the size of the organization - deploying $1.9B+ into 60+ pharmaceutical royalty acquisitions, and growing AUM to $2B. She began her career working in biotech and pharma.
